I won this rod at the first westfly steelhead rondi for landing the largest steelhead of the weekend. The rod has great steelhead karma. I landed a steelhead on the second cast using the rod, and it's brought fish to hand on several steelhead rivers as well as silvers, big rainbows, and dollies in Alaska. It's an awesome rod, wrapped by E.F. Payne, the bamboo rod maker here in Bend. I hate to sell this rod, but my elbow can't take casting a steelhead sized single hander any more, so rather than have it sitting on the shelf I'd like to see someone else get to use it.
