Uses

Black stoneflies (which are members of the brown stonefly family; don't ask) hatch in winter. Likes nearly all stoneflies, they hatch on dry land and are not available to trout when they emerge. But when they return to the water to lay their eggs, trout are eager for them.

How to Fish

Dress with floatant and use standard dry fly presentations.
