THREAD: Red

TAG: Flat gold tinsel

TAIL: Orange and white hackle fibers.

RIB: Silver tinsel

BODY: Orange wool on rear half. Red wool on front half.

HACKLE: Dark brown hen hackle

WING: White bucktail on bottom, orange bucktail or Krystal Flash on top.

CHEEKS (OPTIONAL): Jungle cock

Uses

A traditional northwest steelhead pattern. Useful during winter or when the flows are a bit turbid and you need a brighter fly to show up through the murk.

Traditional wet-fly swing.
