Bumblebee

HOOK: Steelhead/Salmon 1X Heavy, Standard length, Turned-up eye. E.g., TMC 7999 or equivalent. Size 4-6

THREAD: Olive 6/0

TAIL: Olive hackle fibers

BODY: Olive and black varigated chenille

HACKLE: Olive steelhead hackle

Uses

Useful for coho salmon in rivers in the fall.

How to Fish

Use a traditional wet-fly swing, then retrieve the fly quickly at the end of the swing. Coho salmon are notorious chasers and will follow the fly right to your feet before taking (or not) the fly--so manage your slack line as you retrieve!
