HOOK: 7999, sizes 2-6 THREAD: White TAIL: Orange calftail with orange Krystal Flash. The tail should about 25% longer than the body. BODY: Silver diamond braid HACKLE: Orange and yellow (one of each) EYES: Tungsten or nickel eyes. Make it heavy.

Uses

A dredging fly suited for cool, deep flows.

Variations

The body, tail, and hackle colors can be endlessly twiddled with. With a black tail, black body, and a silver rib, the fly becomes a Black Boss.

How to Fish

Traditional wet-fly swing or use with an indicator rig and dead-drift the fly near the bottom. Or combine the two tactics and dead drift the fly upstream from you, then let it swing at the end of the drift.
