Deep Sparkle Pupa, Tan
UsesImitates a caddis pupa that is ready to hatch in to an adult. Prior to a caddis hatch in a river, pupa often drift near the bottom. During the hatch, pupa drift near the bottom, then rise rapidly to the surface, drift a short ways, and the adult emerges and quickly flies off. So it makes sense to drift a pupa pattern on the bottom before a hatch starts.
VariationsVary the size, body color, and shroud color to match the natural insects.
How to FishPresent the fly near the bottom using the indicator or tight line presentations. |
