WINGCASE: Turkey quill pulled over thorax

THORAX: Light brown or olive dubbing to match body

Uses

Imitates the nymphs of Skwala stoneflies, an often over-looked spring hatch on some Western streams. Like other large stonefly nymphs, this fly needs to be weighted so it will drift near the river bottom.

How to Fish

Dead drift on the bottom with an indicator or tight line presentation. The best areas are bouldery sections, riffles, just below riffles, and drop offs just below riffles.
