Part 1

Fished the well-known places with lots of my friends







had to put in a reservation at West Yellowstone to get this spot










people party hardy up here so evenings on the river were pretty quiet





caddis hatch was much better than on the Madison







couple of guys spey-casting for biggies here






pretty quiet in the morning before the fleet put in; Miss Sally with the red behind payed a visit

fished well-known places with nobody but the critters
this one required a bit of a slog but the big bugs were still doing it in the willows















got some nice 'bows (definitely didn't look like cutt-bows) here; didn't think they came up this far









surprised we had this to ourselves but the bear hauling *** back and forth across the meadow may have had something to do with it

In laws (from Whitlash and Havre) moved there in '85 when he retired from the Army. Plan right now is to move out next year so wife can be closer to her mom. I'll take you up on that offer then; I'd enjoy that.

Only two pictures of fish. Is that all you caught.

I see these scenes everyday here in Montana. I live 5 minutes from the Beaverhead, But only fish it in the winter time. Someday I'm going to go up to Dell and visit the Calf-a up there. I understand that their Pot Roast is out of this world.

Glad you had a good time here in Montana. I'm a displaced person from Washington State and I have lived here going on 6 years now. My wife just loves it here. She has no desires to ever go back there.

My camera's a cheap P & S with a crummy macro; those were the best fish pics I had. Besides, everybody knows what trout look like and I'm sure you and most of the folks here have caught bigger ones.

Part 1
Madison river bridge hwy to Island Park ID looking up stream toward quake lake and down stream
Missouri River sunset caddis hatch
Beaverhead river dam and downstream

Part 2
Yellowstone river Yankee Jim canyon
Slough Creek YNP (great bear country)
Smaller creeks looks like country around Dillon
The clear mtn stream (guess) is the Lamar river YNP, or Soda Butte creek YNP
The 4 pics below that is the Marias River

Part 3
Jens Cafe I'm stumpped but you did eat in Lima (great food I agree)
Beaverhead Rock
Cutoff road from Melrose to Twin bridges
Mary Kay truck is in Boulder??
Sweetgrass hills pic is on the pull off to tiber dam outside of chester
Pic of concrete building is on south side of Tiber Res out in the middle of no where.
Last pic in between Gfalls and Benton on hwy 89 looking at the front range

Nothing beats a montana summer... safe travels.
