Western Oregon is about as green as it can get right now! Enjoy!!!

Although not 100% positive ID, I got a shot of what I'm sticking with a Fender's blue butterfly (I've been told more likely could be a male silvery blue, but for conversation's sake...not).

Well, lets continue in the same direction that Bill started us on this month.
This gorgeous Insecta Lepidoptera graced me with its presence last week while on the water at Crane Prairie.

In case anyone has been wondering what I am up to?...sub teaching and working as a para in the Washougal School district...as well as painting and gardening a lot...this is the busiest month of my year with the greenhouse starts to plant at the end of the month. This past Monday I took down a one month long painting show called Themes...It was the most successful in terms of sales I have had in 15 years! i got some press also...I represent myself with no gallery affiliation for the past 10 years...i like it that way...here is the article link-

and I added a few from a new large themed painting series...

[obviously still having issues with sizing....]

shot my annual Seattle Sounders game this weekend -- this began a few years ago when the Sounders contacted me about some photos I had posted online of the 1977 NASL Championship game, which was played in Portland's stadium -- Seattle vs. the New York Cosmos, in Pele's last full game as a player. I had been working as the team's photographer in 1977 when I took them, and so of course when they asked for copies, I sent them some. They returned the favor by telling me anytime I wanted to shoot a game, I was their guest -- well, in reality, I have gone to one game each season over the past few years, so as to not overstay my welcome.

In any event it's fun to photograph the sport in front of 50,000+ fans -- the energy level is contagious and the intensity of major league soccer makes for some great faces on both the fans and the players.

Pardon the oversized verticals. I'll figure this stuff out eventually.
