I love all the art and photos from the monthly Arts and Crafts threads. This is getting me ready for the change in seasons.

          Thanks for posting, Stevie

I lived up in Parkdale when I worked on the Hood River District. Always loved going up and down the Gorge (still do). So I'm partial to the this landscape of the Gorge.

We have a lot of deer hanging around our neighborhood out here in Deschutes River Woods. Some big boys come through but we don't seem to have any regulars. Had a group of 7 two weeks ago, with a couple medium 4 pts in there.

Last Christmas we got one of our grandson's a set of plans for building a hydraulic backhoe. I had no idea that we were going to have to manufacture nearly every piece. We finished it over spring break and a recent 4 day vacation. Sayre will be 13 in January and he's an unusual kid. He's got a mind for such things and he loves to operate equipment (tractors, etc). He was always ahead of me in the plans and always HAS A PLAN for how to accomplish a task. Keeps me on my toes. LOL! I had to put an extra day in for the finishing touches so it's ready to deliver to him.

That backhoe is amazing! Must have taken forever just to do the treads. What kind of wood did you use?
