Very slick! It took me a couple of looks before I spotted the crab.

Each winter, we get about 10,000-30,000 snow geese migrating through the McNary Wildlife reserve near Tri Cities. This is a fraction of the current population.....if you have the option of clicking on it to see it on a big screen, it's much more fun that way.

That is a fantastic image. Did anyone else spot two ducks in there?

Very cool. More than 2 ducks. I even found a drake pintail in the lower left quadrant.

Crawbugger, that idea occurred to several of my online customers, so bowing to popular demand (and a fortuitously timed special offer from one of the online vendors) I went ahead and ordered 12 jigsaw puzzles made from the image. Sold them out in about 90 minutes. I'll have to keep an eye out on sales for the puzzles -- I think they'd make a great addition to my weekly Farmer's Market offerings when the season starts in June.

        beautiful work Bill!

My favorite painting of last year of the 40 I did and showed was this one... Why?...The concept won me over...it was an evolving composition...with technique as an emphasis... it actually approaches this vague Idea I have had for a long time of creating a work that succeeds to emphasizing visible technique without looking unresolved...and giving the eyes exercise without running your eyes off the edge of the work through compositional error...Hope I explained correctly what I am thinking?

Call my explanation a bit of an elaboration if you will...when I see another post of 50 folks posting their opinions of the best fly rod...I kinda feel a little woozy as if a senile coma is coming on.

I finished up a paddle the other day and sent it off into the polar vortex that is Minnesota. It's for a Lord of the Rings fan.

Good to see such beautiful shots from some "old" Westfliers!

However, you guys do realize it's February now, yes? Time to start up the Feb. A&C for 2019.
